Overview
The Chevrolet Colorado Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 08/17/2009. The 2010 Chevrolet Colorado is carried over from last year with no significant changes. The model lineup includes regular, extended and crew cab models with either a base Work Truck or LT trim option. There are three engines choices offered (the 2.9L Vortec is standard on all but Crew Cab 4WD vehicles); and the 5.3L engine now features variable valve timing. Head curtain side airbags are also standard across the entire model line. Three new colors are available this year: Cardinal Red Metallic, Steel Green Metallic, and Sheer Silver Metallic. The Colorado is a sister vehicle to the GMC Canyon. The Chevrolet Colorado Regular Cab Work Truck 2WD was introduced in 2004 and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
