Overview

The Mercury Mariner Premier FWD last had a manufacturer update on 10/01/2009. The 2010 Mercury Mariner cross-over is available in three trims: Base, Premier, and Hybrid in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. The Base and Premier models are powered by a standard 171 horsepower 2.5L in-line four-cylinder engine. A 3.0L Flex Fuel V6 is also available and produces 240 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrid features a "full" hybrid 2.5L in-line four-cylinder engine, which can run fully on electricity up to 25 mph for fuel efficient city driving. The 2.5L and 3.0L engines are mated to an electronically controlled six speed automatic, while the Hybrid receives a CVT transmission. Standard amenities on the Mariner include keyless remote entry, privacy glass, message center, and MP3 with satellite capabilities. The Premier adds as standard: rear parking sensors and the Leather Trim Package that offers leather seats and power driver's seat adjuster. The Mercury Mariner Premier FWD saw minor changes in 2008, and is expected to be redesigned in 2012.
