Overview
The Ford Escape XLS FWD last had a manufacturer update on 10/01/2009. For 2010, the Ford Escape is offered in XLS, XLT, and Limited trims in either 2WD or AWD. Hybrid models are available in Base or Limited in 2WD and AWD. New standard features this year includes an Integrated Spotter Mirror, MyKey System (XLT and Limited), heated seats and mirrors and Cargo Package (Limited only), and a rear view camera (Hybrid Limited). New options available for 2010 are an Auto Park system, rear view camera, and a universal garage door opener. The 3.0 V6 which is optional on some trims, is now Flex Fuel capable. The Ford Escape is a sister vehicle to the Mercury Mariner. The Ford Escape XLS FWD saw minor changes in 2008, and is expected to be redesigned in 2012.
