Overview
The Mercury Mountaineer Premier 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 08/01/2009. The 2010 Mercury Mountaineer returns available in a reduced line-up for the new model year: Base and Premier in either 2WD or AWD versions. The Mountaineer Base trim offers only a 4.0L 210-hp V6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic transmission, with the Premier trims featuring an optional powertrain with a 4.6L 292-hp V8 engine and six-speed automatic transmission. Standard features include keyless remote entry, privacy glass, driver's information system, heated mirrors, and tire pressure monitor. The Premier offers optional Quad Bucket Seating and available power folding third row for added convenience. The Mountaineer is a sister car to the Ford Explorer. The Mercury Mountaineer Premier 2WD saw minor changes in 2006, and is expected to be redesigned in 2011.
