Overview
The Chevrolet Corvette Championship Special Edition last had a manufacturer update on 03/25/2009. For 2009 the Chevy Corvette is available in four models--Base coupe and convertible, Z06 coupe, and new this year the ZR1. Updates for this year include a lower price point for the convertible, along with a more affordable 1LT Package, Bluetooth connectivity and two new custom leather interior options. The Z06 horsepower remains the same but features new "spider" designed wheels, a refreshed interior with minor changes and increased capacity for the oiling system. The much anticipated ZR1 was designed and built with a unique combination of carbon fiber and ceramic materials, including the hood itself (with a polycarbonate window view into the engine area). The standard engine is the LS9 supercharged 6.2L V8 rated at 638 hp. Two additional trims are also available: Championship and Competition Sport Special Editions. The Chevrolet Corvette Championship Special Edition was last redesigned in 2005; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
