The Miata is powered by a 167 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine mated to either a five-speed manual (SV and Sport), six-speed manual (Touring and Grand Touring) or six-speed automatic transmission ( Sport, Touring and Grand Touring). The optional Suspension Package on the Touring and Grand Touring models add Bilstein shock absorbers, a limited slip rear differential, and a sport-tuned suspension. Other options, many of which are port-installed, include a tire pressure monitoring system, a rear lip spoiler, wheel locks, a cargo net, an alarm system, and front and rear mud guards.
