Overview
The Volkswagen Routan S w/Rear Seat Entertainment last had a manufacturer update on 03/23/2009. All new for 2009, the Volkswagen Routan enters the minivan market with three trims--S, SE and SEL. The Routan seats seven-passengers and is powered by a 3.8L V6 engine with 197 horsepower. A 4.0L V6 which produces 253 horsepower is also available. Standard safety features on the vehicle include front and side curtain airbags, Electronic Stabilization Program with hydraulic brake assist and German tuned suspension and steering for optimal handling. Convenience features include conversation mirror, available DVD entertainment system (with dual 9-inch screens for both rear seat rows), optional quad captain's chairs, and dual power sliding doors. Keyless entry with remote start is also option, and preheats or cools the vehicle as the vehicle temperature dictates. The Volkswagen Routan S w/Rear Seat Entertainment was introduced in 2009; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
