Overview
The Ford Ranger Regular Cab XL 2WD Short Bed last had a manufacturer update on 12/01/2008. The Ford Ranger enters 2009 available in a variety of trims, drive, and body configurations, including several trim levels: XL, XLT, Sport, and FX4, and two cab choices: Regular and SuperCab in two door or four door configurations. Engine choices on the Ranger include a 143 horsepower 2.3L four-cylinder engine, a 148 horsepower 3.0L V6 engine, or a 4.0L V-6 engine that generates 207 horsepower and 238 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include front and rear anti-lock brakes, dual front airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system. The Ford Ranger Regular Cab XL 2WD Short Bed was last redesigned in 1998 and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
