Overview

The Dodge Ram 1500 Regular Cab ST 2WD Long Bed last had a manufacturer update on 10/30/2008. The all new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 is available in four model trims: ST, SXT, SLT, and Laramie, three Cab styles: Regular Cab, Quad cab, and Crew Cab, and a choice of either 2WD or 4WD configurations. Engine choices include a 210 horsepower 3.7L V-6, a 310 horsepower 4.7L V8, and a new 5.7-liter HEMI V8 which produces 380 horsepower and 404 lb-ft of torque. The addition of variable valve timing (VVT) on the new 5.7-liter HEMI V8 improves the engines breathing which improves engine efficiency and power. Other improvements include a coil-spring, multilink rear suspension, and a RamBox cargo management system (Crew Cab) that includes versatile, weatherproof, lockable, illuminated and drainable storage bins built into bed rails; pickup bed divider/2-foot bed extender; and cargo rail system with four sliding, adjustable cleats.
