Overview
The Honda Civic LX (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 05/29/2009. The Civic returns for 2009 again offered in coupe and sedan, as well as in several is trims: DX, GX, LX, EX, EX-L, Hybrid, and sporty Si. Most trims are equipped with a 140-hp 1.8L I-4 engine, but the Si is powered by a 2.0L I-4 engine boasting 197 horsepower and 139 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrid is powered by a 1.3L four-cylinder engine coupled with an electric motor/generator. Standard equipment across the board includes side curtain airbags, daytime running lights, a theft-deterrent system, power convenience features, and ABS brakes. Revisions for this year include an improved USB audio interface, a revamped front grille, restyled turn signal lenses, new 17-inch wheels on Si models, and two new exterior colors. The Honda Civic LX (Auto) was last redesigned in 2006 and the next major change is expected in 2011.
