Overview
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 04/20/2009. The 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee is available in four trims: Laredo, Limited, Overland, and SRT-8. Engine choices on the Grand Cherokee include a 210 horsepower 3.7L V6 engine on the Laredo, a 305 horsepower 4.7L V8 engine on the Limited, a new 357 horsepower 5.7L HEMI V8 engine on the Overland (optional on the Limited), a 420 horsepower 6.1L HEMI V-8 engine, and a optional 215 horsepower 3.0-liter common rail diesel V-6 engine available on the Limited and Overland. In addition to the new HEMI engine, the Grand Cherokee also features a new Leather Appearance Group as standard on the Limited and Overland models, instrument panel upgrades to include Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM) System, a new 9-inch rear DVD screen replaces the 8-inch screen, and an iPod interface is available with Uconnect GPS. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2WD was last redesigned in 2005 and the next major change is expected in 2011.
