Overview
The Dodge Charger R/T RWD last had a manufacturer update on 06/17/2009. The Dodge Charger enters 2009 available in several trims: SE RWD, SE AWD, SXT RWD, SXT AWD, R/T RWD, R/T AWD, and SRT8. The SE engine is now a down-sized 190-hp 2.7L V6, while the SXT continues with the 250-hp 3.5L V6. The R/T boasts a 5.7L V8 HEMI, now producing 368 horsepower. The high-end SRT8 is again powered by 6.1L V8 HEMI engine pumping out 425 horsepower and 420 ft-lbs of torque. Standard amenities include keyless remote entry, heated mirrors, front and rear solar control glass, and AM/FM/CD radio with MP3 capabilities. The SRT8 upgrades by adding a vehicle information center and a rear spoiler. Safety features include a tire pressure monitor, trunk entrapment release, and dual front airbags. Available options on the Charger include an entertainment system and a power sunroof. The Dodge Charger R/T RWD was last redesigned in 2006 and the next major change is expected in 2012.
