Overview
The Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT 4.6L 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 03/20/2009. The E-Series Wagon returns for 2009 available in several models: E150 XL and XLT, as well as E350 XL and XLT, each coming in regular and extended versions. The E-Series comes standard with a 225-hp 4.6L V-8 engine, while Ford also offers an optional 255-hp 5.4L V-8. Both engines are paired to a four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Returning for this year are numerous options, including AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control (RSC), a reverse sensing system, heavy-duty engineering features, an alarm system, running boards and aluminum wheels. The Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT 4.6L 2WD was last redesigned in 2007 and is scheduled to be retired in 2010.
