Overview
The Mazda Tribute i Touring 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 06/08/2009. The 2009 Mazda Tribute is available in three engines and three trims: i (2.5L four-cylinder), s (3.0L V6), and Hybrid (2.5L four-cylinder with electric motor) - Sport (except on Hybrid models), Touring, or Grand Touring trims in 2WD or 4WD configurations. The i models are equipped with a new 171 horsepower 2.5L iVTC four-cylinder engine while the s models receive a revised 3.0L V6 that generates 240 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque. The Hybrids are powered by a new 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine, featuring Atkinson-cycle combustion for improved efficiency, paired with a 70kWatt electric traction motor. The 2.5L and 3.0L engines are mated to a new six-speed automatic transmission. Three new exterior colors have been added: White Suede, Brilliant Silver, and Sport Blue. The Mazda Tribute i Touring 2WD saw minor changes in 2008, and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
