Overview
The Chrysler Town & Country Touring last had a manufacturer update on 04/09/2009. For 2009 the Chrysler Town & Country is available in two-wheel drive LX, Limited and Touring trims. Carried over with few changes, the 2009 model year is the silver anniversary of the minivan with Dodge/Chrysler still capturing about 40% of market sales, having sold over 12 million minivans worldwide. This year's model features an optimized 4.0L engine and re-tuned 6-speed automatic transmission. As a result, the powertrain achieves an 8% increase in fuel economy. The Town & Country offers two different seating and storage systems (including Swivel 'n Go) along with other entertainment options. Electronic Stability Control is standard, and the vans received a five star rating in the government's front and side impact crash tests. The Chrysler Town & Country Touring was last redesigned in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
