Overview

The Toyota 4Runner Sport V6 4WD last had a manufacturer update on 08/01/2008. Toyota's intermediate utility enters 2009 with the addition of the new Trail Edition package. The 4Runner is available in three trims: SR5, Sport, and Limited in either 2WD or 4WD configurations. Engine choices on all models include a 236 horsepower 4.0L V6 engine and a 4.7L i-Force V8 engine that produces 260 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque. All engines are mated to an electronically controlled five-speed automatic transmission. Safety features on all models include driver and front passenger seat mounted side airbags and first and second row side-curtain airbags with roll-over sensor. Available options include third row seating, a roof rack, a six-disc CD changer, and a navigation system. An optional Preferred Accessory Package adds cargo mat, cargo net, first aid kit, and floor mats. The Toyota 4Runner Sport V6 4WD was last redesigned in 2003 and the next major change is expected in 2010.
