Overview

The Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab 2WD (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 04/13/2009. The 2009 Toyota Tacoma is available in three bodystyles and four trims: Base and PRERUNNER Regular Cab, Access Cab and Double Cab, and X-Runner Access Cab. Safety updates for 2009 include the addition of the Star Safety System, side and head curtain air bags are now standard on all models and active front headrest are now standard on all Access and Double Cabs. The Toyota Star Safety System includes the anti-lock braking system, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Vehicle Stability Control, and Traction Control. Engine choices on the tundra include a 159 horsepower 2.7L four-cylinder engine and a 4.0L V6 engine producing 236 horsepower. The 2.7L engine is available with a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic, while the 4.0L V6 is available with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Toyota Tacoma Regular Cab 2WD (Auto) was last redesigned in 2005; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
