Overview

The Chevrolet Cobalt LS last had a manufacturer update on 06/11/2009. The 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt is available in several trims: LS, LT, SS, and XFE; in both sedan and coupe bodystyles. The LS and LT models come powered by a more powerful and efficient 2.2L 155 horsepower engine; whereas the SS is powered by a turbocharged 2.0L 260 horsepower engine. All models come equipped with a five-speed manual transmission. Safety features include tire pressure monitor, trunk entrapment release, dual front airbags, and front and rear head curtain airbags. The LT has an optional Bright Chrome Appearance Package that offers: chrome exhaust, front fog lights, white-faced sport gauges, rear spoiler, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift lever, and steering wheel touch controls. New colors added for 2009: Silver Ice, Gold Mist and Silver Moss. The Chevrolet Cobalt LS was introduced in 2005 and is scheduled to be retired in 2010.
