Overview

The Volvo XC90 FWD last had a manufacturer update on 04/01/2009. The 2009 Volvo XC90 is available in four trims: 3.2, R-Design, V8 AWD, and V8 R-Design AWD. For this year, the XC90 receives power rear door child safety locks as standard equipment on all models, a new trim (R-Design) and several new packages. The 3.2 models are powered by a 235 horsepower 3.2L inline six-cylinder engine while the V8 models are equipped with a 4.4L V8 engine that generates 311 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. The R-Design trim upgrades the base 3.2 and V8 with larger wheels and tires, R-Design tuned suspension and steering, R-Design grille, leather seating surfaces with embossed R-Design logo on the front seats, R-Design steering wheel, R-Design watch dial instruments and floor mats. The Volvo XC90 FWD was introduced in 2003; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
