Overview

The Volvo S40 FWD last had a manufacturer update on 04/01/2009. After receiving a facelift last year, the Volvo S40 enters 2009 available in 2.4L, 2.5T R-Design FWD, and 2.5T R-Design AWD versions. The base is equipped with a 168-hp 2.4L engine, while the R-Designs are powered by a 2.5L Turbo engine boosting 227 horsepower and 236 ft-lb of torque. Options include metallic paint, interior wood trim, active bi-xenon headlights, and leather seating. The optional Climate Package adds rain sensing headlights, headlight washers, and heated front seats. The Volvo S40 FWD was last redesigned in 2004; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
