Overview

The Volvo V50 R-Design AWD last had a manufacturer update on 04/01/2009. The Volvo V50 returns for 2009 is available in two trims: 2.4L and 2.5T R-Design AWD. The base models are equipped with a 168-hp 2.4L engine, while the more powerful model is powered by a 2.5L Turbo engine boosting 227 horsepower and 236 ft-lb of torque. Options include metallic paint, interior wood trim, active bi-xenon headlights, child safety booster seats, and leather seating. The optional Climate Package adds rain sensing headlights, headlight washers, and heated front seats. The Volvo V50 R-Design AWD was last redesigned in 2005 and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
