Overview

The Volvo V50 last had a manufacturer update on 04/01/2009. The Volvo V50 returns for 2009 is available in two trims: 2.4L and 2.5T R-Design AWD. The base models are equipped with a 168-hp 2.4L engine, while the more powerful model is powered by a 2.5L Turbo engine boosting 227 horsepower and 236 ft-lb of torque. Options include metallic paint, interior wood trim, active bi-xenon headlights, child safety booster seats, and leather seating. The optional Climate Package adds rain sensing headlights, headlight washers, and heated front seats. The Volvo V50 was last redesigned in 2005 and is scheduled to be retired in 2011.
