Overview
The Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV last had a manufacturer update on 10/15/2008. The all-new 2009 Nissan Maxima is available in two trims, 3.5 S and 3.5 SV. Both models come equipped with a revised 3.5L V6 engine that now generates 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to a revised Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). The power steering gets updated to a new Twin Orifice Power Steering (TOPS) vehicle-speed-sensitive power rack-and-pinion steering system, similar to that utilized on the Nissan 350Z. Exterior updates include a new dual panel moonroof that includes a front section that moves like a normal moonroof and a fixed translucent rear section that provides light to rear seat passengers. Standard amenities include dual-zone automatic temperature control, cruise control with illuminated steering wheel mounted controls, and Intelligent Key with push button ignition. The Nissan Maxima 3.5 SV was last redesigned in 2009; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
