Overview
The Toyota Highlander 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 04/13/2009. After receiving a redesign last year, the Toyota Highlander returns for 2009 available in several trims: L4, Base, Sport, and Limited, most in 2WD and 4WD configurations. All models (except L4) come powered by a 270-hp 3.5L V6 engine paired to a five-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Standard features include keyless remote entry, privacy glass, and roof rails with crossbars. A rear entertainment system, a DVD-based navigation system, and a moon roof are options on the Sport and Limited models. Safety features include a tire pressure monitor, dual front airbags, front and side impact airbags, knee airbags, and roll sensing side curtain airbags. The new entry level L4 features a standard 2.7L 4 cylinder engine and 2WD only. The Toyota Highlander 2WD was last redesigned in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
