Overview

The Volkswagen Touareg 2 V8 last had a manufacturer update on 03/24/2009. After last years redesign, the Touareg 2 enters 2009 available in three models: V6, V8 and TDI. The 3.6L VR6 produces 280 hp, while the 4.2L V8 boasts 350 horsepower and 325 ft-lb of torque. The top of the line TDI features a 5.0L V10 TDI Twin Turbo, which equates to 310 horsepower and 553 ft-lb of torque. Standard amenities include Sirius Satellite radio, a power liftgate, and premium wheels. Dual-zone automatic climate control remains standard, with a quad-zone system offered as an option. Several option packages can be added, which come with Bi-Xenon headlights, an 10-speaker Dynaudio sound system, and a keyless entry and start system. The Volkswagen Touareg 2 V8 was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2011.
