Overview
The Ford Fusion SEL last had a manufacturer update on 10/01/2008. Entering 2009, the Ford Fusion is again available in five trims: S, SE, SE V6, SEL, and SEL V6. On V6 models, a front-wheel or all-wheel drive configuration may be selected. The Fusion is powered by either a 2.3L 160-hp engine or a 3.0L 221-hp V6 engine. Safety features include tire pressure monitor, trunk entrapment release, dual front airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, and side-impact airbags. An optional Sport Appearance Package offering color-keyed fog lamps, black chrome grille, spoiler, chrome exhaust tips, red seat inserts, and read stitching on seats is available on the SE FWD and SEL FWD models. The Ford Fusion SEL was introduced in 2006, and minor changes are expected in 2010.
