Overview
The Ford Mustang Premium last had a manufacturer update on 10/01/2008. The 2009 Ford Mustang is offered in five trims and two bodystyles: Deluxe, Premium, Deluxe GT, Premium GT, and Shelby GT500 in either coupe or convertible bodystyles. The Deluxe and Premium models are powered by a 4.0L V6 engine while the Deluxe GT and Premium GT are equipped with a 300 horsepower 4.6L V8 engine. Both engines are mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic transmission. The Shelby GT500 is powered by a 500-horsepower supercharged 5.4L V8 mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Shelby GT500 is also equipped with a SVT-tuned suspension system and four piston Brembo brakes. Standard features on all models include powered windows, door locks, CD player, and keyless entry. The Ford Mustang Premium was last redesigned in 2005, with minor changes expected again in 2010.
