Overview

The Dodge Avenger R/T FWD (Before 11-05-08) last had a manufacturer update on 04/01/2009. The 2009 Dodge Avenger is available in four models: SE, SXT, R/T 2WD and R/T AWD. The SE and SXT come equipped with a 2.4L four-speed automatic transmission, with the R/T models powered by a 3.5L V6 six-speed automatic transmission. Standard amenities across the board include keyless remote entry, all power conveniences, and an alarm system. The R/T models add as standard: heated mirrors, Auto stick, and a rear spoiler. Optional features include UConnect communication system, moonroof, and the remote control engine start. Safety features on all models include trunk entrapment release, tire pressure monitoring system, dual front airbags, and front and rear side impact airbags. Mid-year changes see some trims discontinued and significant changes in engine availability for other vehicles. The Dodge Avenger R/T FWD (Before 11-05-08) was introduced in 2008 and a redesign is expected in 2013.
