Overview
The Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LTZ 4WD last had a manufacturer update on 07/28/2008. The Suburban returns for this year available in several trims: LS, LT, and LTZ in either 1500 or HD 2500 series with 2WD or 4WD configurations. Engines choices for the 1500 series included two versions of the Vortec 5.3L V8 with Active Fuel Management (one is an all aluminum engine while the other is produced with an iron block), which produces 315 horsepower and 338 lbs-ft of torque and a 6.0L V8 with VVT and Active Fuel Management. The Active Fuel Management system switches between eight and four cylinders in order to conserve fuel. An iron block version of the 6.0L V8 with VVT is offered on the 2500 series. All engines are mated to a heavy-duty six-speed automatic transmission. The Chevrolet Suburban 1500 LTZ 4WD was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
