Overview

The Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 07/28/2008. After a 2007 redesign, the 2009 Avalanche returns this year with a host of minor updates. Available in six models--LS, LT and LTZ in either 2WD or 4WD, the Avalanche is a sister to the Cadillac Escalade EXT. Changes include a 6-speed automatic standard on all models, 3.08 axle ratio for increased fuel efficiency, available 20-inch chrome wheels on the LTZ trim, optional back up display integrated into the rear view mirror, and updated cloth seats on base LS and LT trims. The LTZ now features standard heated and cooled power seats with perforated leather, new exterior and interior trim treatments and a Centerpoint Surround Sound Bose speaker system. GM's signature White Diamond Tricoat paint will be available on the LTZ. A Heavy Duty Trailering Package is also optional. The Chevrolet Avalanche LTZ 2WD was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
