The engine is mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. "S" model upgrades include a sportier suspension, unique ground effects, and performance tires. Standard luxury amenities across the board include automatic climate control, aluminum alloy wheels, an alarm system, keyless entry remote, leather seats, and a 6-disc CD changer. Available options on the S4 include a DVD-based navigation system, a rear power sunshade, heated rear seats, and rear side impact airbags, a rear parking assist system, and several premium option packages.
