Overview
The Nissan GT-R Premium last had a manufacturer update on 07/08/2008. The all-new 2009 Nissan GT-R is available in two trims: Base and Premium. The GT-R is equipped with an all-new 3.8-liter twin turbo V6 engine producing 480 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an all-new GR6-type sequential six-speed dual clutch rear transaxle with paddle shifter, manual and automatic modes. It is built on all-new Premium Midship platform that enables the use of a rear transaxle ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system, which places the transmission, transfer case and final drive at the rear of the vehicle, optimizing weight distribution and maximizing handling capability. A "set-up switch" located in the center of the instrument panel, allows the driver to adjust transmission shifts, shock absorbers and the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC-R) in three settings Normal, Comfort or "R", for ultimate handling. The Nissan GT-R Premium was introduced in 2009; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
