Overview

The Toyota Matrix S FWD (Manual) last had a manufacturer update on 04/13/2009. The all-new 2009 Toyota Matrix is available in three trims: base, S and XR. Base models are powered by a new 132 horsepower 1.8L four-cylinder engine. The S and XR receive a new 2.4L four cylinder engine producing 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Standard features across the board include power color-keyed mirrors, daytime running lights, side and head curtain air bags, and a tire pressure monitoring system. The S trim adds cruise control, remote keyless entry, AM/FM/CD with MP3 capability and six speakers, front and rear underbody spoilers and fog lamps. In addition to the S trim, the XR adds 18-inch alloy wheels, sport strut tower brace, VSC with TRAC and off switch, and a three-spoke leather-trimmed steering wheel with audio steering wheel controls. The Toyota Matrix S FWD (Manual) was last redesigned in 2009; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
