Overview
The Pontiac Vibe 1.8L FWD last had a manufacturer update on 08/08/2008. For 2009, the all-new Pontiac Vibe returns available in four models: 1.8L FWD, 2.4L FWD, 2.4L AWD, and GT. The base Vibe is powered by a more powerful version of the 1.8L engine that now produces 132 horsepower compared to 128 horsepower from 2007 models. All other models receive a new 2.4L four-cylinder engine that generates 158 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Standard transmission on the AWD model is a four-speed automatic while the base models and GT are equipped with a five-speed manual. Optional features include a moonroof, alarm system, engine block heater, and cargo cover. Available on the 2.4L FWD and AWD is a Sun and Sound Package that offers a power glass moon roof, Monsoon speakers and subwoofer, leather wrapped steering wheel with touch controls, and an AM/FM Stereo with CD and MP3 capabilities. The Pontiac Vibe 1.8L FWD was last redesigned in 2009; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
