Overview

Redesigned last year, the Miata returns for 2008 with little change. It is now available in five trims: SV, Sport, Special Edition, Touring, and Grand Touring in either soft top or hard top configurations. The Miata is powered by a 163 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The optional Suspension Package adds Bilstein shock absorbers, a limited slip rear differential, and a sport-tuned suspension. Other options, many of which are port-installed, include a tire pressure monitoring system, a rear lip spoiler, wheel locks, a cargo net, an alarm system, and front and rear mud guards.
