Overview
The BMW 128 i last had a manufacturer update on 03/01/2009. For 2009, the BMW 1-Series is available in two trims--128i and 135i, in either coupe or convertible bodystyles. Updates for this year include new options for improved driver comfort. A heated steering wheel is now added to the Cold Weather Package on 128i trims (available as a stand-alone option on 135i), and the 4th gen iDrive now comes with the vehicle when equipped with a navigation system. Based on the original BMW 2002, the 1-Series is marketed to consumers with a focus on sporty design and handling features and seating for four (a 60/40 rear split seat is standard). The 135i is powered by a twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine that produces 300hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. As with other models, the 1-Series comes with BMW's Ultimate Service, including a Maintenance Program. The BMW 128 i was introduced in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
