Overview

Still a concept design at present, Chevy will launch the rear drive Camaro coupe in late 2008 as a 2009 model; then to battle the other Ford Mustang body style; it'll launch the Camaro convertible about spring of 2009. The design of the new vehicle is a nod to the past with significant design influences from the 1969 model, with overall proportions of a longer hood with aggressive fenders. The production model will be nearly identical to the concept vehicle. As with previous versions, the new model will remain practical for daily driver use, and will feature GM's Active Fuel Management system), and is expected to generate highway figures around 30 miles per gallon.
