Overview

The Ford Edge SEL 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 07/01/2008. The 2008 Edge is available in three trims: SE, SEL, and Limited in either 2WD or intelligent AWD configurations. All models are powered by a 265 horsepower 3.5L V6 engine coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission. Unique features on the Edge include console laptop storage, a panoramic Vista Roof, and a MP3 player input jack. Safety is enhanced my adding standard Advance Trac traction control with anti-roll technology, side-impact airbags, and a Safety Canopy. Additional available options on the Edge include a new Interior Appearance Package, a new 18-inch wheel option and new class-exclusive 20-inch wheels. Four new colors are available for 2008: Vapor Silver clearcoat metallic, Light Ice Blue clearcoat metallic, Dark Ink Blue clearcoat metallic and White Sand tri-coat. The Ford Edge SEL 2WD was introduced in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
