Overview

The Chevrolet Malibu LS last had a manufacturer update on 05/28/2008. For 2008, the Chevy Malibu has been completely redesigned. It is available in four trims: LS, LT, LTZ, and Hybrid. Along with the new exterior and interior styling the Malibu will offer standard head-curtain side air bags and front-seat thorax air bags, OnStar Gen 7 with remote diagnostics, and XM Satellite Radio on all models. The OnStar Gen 7 will feature standard automatic crash notification service and OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation – the first factory-installed, fully integrated GPS navigation system from OnStar. StabiliTrak electronic stability control is standard on LT and LTZ models. Choice of economic powertrains will include a 2.4L Ecotec VVT four-cylinder engine, a 3.6L DOHC V-6 VVT engine, and a 36-volt electric motor/generator mated to the 2.4L Ecotec VVT four-cylinder engine on the Hybrid. The Chevrolet Malibu LS was last redesigned in 2008; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
