Overview
The Toyota Prius last had a manufacturer update on 01/02/2008. For 2008, the Toyota Prius is available a new lower end model (Standard), in addition to the Base and Touring versions. The Standard model does not come with equipment such as cruise control, upgraded wheel trim, heated outside mirrors, tonneau cover or rear seat pockets, and offers a lower entry price than in previous models. The Base model offers power windows and locks, ABS brakes, and automatic climate control. The Touring mode, introduced last year, comes with fog lights, HID headlamps, 16-inch wheels, sport suspension and rear spoiler. Dual front, side impact and head curtain airbags are standard on all three trims. A Smart Key entry system, navigation system, leather seats and stability control are among the offered options. The Toyota Prius was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2010.
