Overview
The Hyundai Elantra GLS (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 12/20/2007. The 2008 Hyundai Elantra is available in two trim levels: GLS and SE. The Elantra is powered by a 138 horsepower 2.0L four-cylinder engine (also available in a PZEV version) mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. New features for 2008 include a tire pressure monitoring system is now standard on all models, an electronic stability control system is now standard on the SE trim, and brake assist has been added to the standard ABS system on the SE trim. Standard safety equipment on the Elantra includes side curtain airbags, four-wheel disk ABS brakes, and active front head restraints. The Limited trim has been removed but the Elantra can be equipped similarly by ordering the SE trim with the Premium + Leather Package. The Hyundai Elantra GLS (Auto) was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
