Intellichoice Review

Mitsubishi's midsize sedan returns for 2008 with only minor changes. The Galant GTS trim has been deleted, leaving three returning trims: DE, ES, and Ralliart. A tire pressure monitoring system is now standard on all models. Another revision is the addition of two new exterior colors, Rave Red and Northstar White. The base engine, equipped on both DE and ES models, is a 2.4L I-4 producing 162 horsepower. The Ralliart comes with the more powerful 3.8L V6 engine boasting 258 horsepower. Other Ralliart upgrades include a rear spoiler, aluminum alloy wheels, and a six-disc CD changer. Options on the Galant include a DVD-based navigation system, all-weather floor mats, a cargo organizer, and wheel locks.
