Overview
The Volkswagen Jetta SE (Manual) last had a manufacturer update on 04/18/2008. For 2008 the Volkswagen Jetta sedan is available in five models--S and SE (with either manual or automatic) and SEL automatic. 2008 Jetta models feature a 2.5L engine as standard that produces 170hp. The sportier GLI model will be the only one to feature the 2.0L turbo engine. Other changes for this year include black colored exterior trim (S and SE models) and "2.5" badging designating engine size. The S features 16-inch steel wheels (wheel covers are also standard). "Leatherette" interior seat trim is standard on the SEL with genuine leather seats are no longer available on any trim. Also deleted are automatic climate control and Homelink. Safety features on the Jetta include side impact and head curtain airbags and ABS brakes. The Volkswagen Jetta SE (Manual) was last redesigned in 2005; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
