Overview
The Volkswagen GTI 2.0T (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 04/18/2008. The 2008 Volkswagen GTI is carried over from last year and is available in four models--hatchback and sedan 2.0T in either manual or automatic. Standard on all GTI models is cruise control, air conditioning, 17-inch wheels, sport suspension, and high performance brakes. Capitalizing on the vehicle's appeal to the youth market, Volkswagen has lowered the ride height of the GTI by approximately two-thirds of an inch on both the sedan and hatchback. Options include power moonroof, navigation system, upgraded stereo with iPod connectivity, ground effects kit, and Hufeisen alloy wheels. To upgrade the standard equipment, an Autobahn Package is also offered. Front-side and curtain airbags and also standard safety features. The Volkswagen GTI 2.0T (Auto) was last redesigned in 2006; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
