Overview

The Audi A8 last had a manufacturer update on 12/14/2007. For 2008 the Audi A8 is available in three trims--Base, L and L W12. This model features some minor changes as an entirely new version of the A8 is expected late 2009. Updated exterior modifications include a new front grille, LED tail lamps, and 10-spoke cast alloy wheels. Other changes include improved sound insulation, tweaked performance of the steering and suspension systems for better road contact feel and handling, as well as new safety features such as the blind-spot notification system which utilizes radar technology. The S8 is a high performance version of the A8 sedan and features a 5.2L V10 engine and other sport characteristics (such as steering wheel paddle shifters and Adaptive Sport suspension) which distinguish it from the standard A8 model. The Audi A8 was last redesigned in 2004 and the next major change is expected in 2010.
