Overview
The Jeep Commander 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 06/16/2008. The Commander returns for 2008, available in three trims: base, Limited, and Overland; in both 2WD or 4WD configurations. There are three engines to chose from, the 3.7L 210-hp engine (base), 4.7L 305-hp V8 engine (Limited), and a 5.7L 330-hp HEMI V8 engine (Overland).The Commander comes with an array of standard features including vehicle information center, rear parking sensors, and roof rails; the Limited and Overland trims add to that list: R/V monitor, moon roof, remote control engine start, and a navigation system with touch screen. Safety features include tire pressure monitor, dual front airbags, front and rear head curtain airbags, and side-impact airbags. The Jeep Commander 2WD was introduced in 2006 and is scheduled to be retired in 2009.
