Overview
The Ford Explorer Limited 4.0L 2WD last had a manufacturer update on 05/01/2008. Ford's midsize SUV enters 2008 with added safety, additional standard equipment, and an expanded list of options. The Explorer is offered in XLT, Eddie Bauer, and Limited, available in a 2WD, 4WD, or AWD (non-XLT models only). New features for this year include side curtain airbags, a capless fuel filling system, restyled 20-inch wheels, a hands-free communication and entertainment system, and a voice-activated navigation system. Rounding off the list of changes for this year is the addition of three new exterior colors: Stone Green, Vapor Silver, and White Suede. Options on the Explorer include the Sirius satellite radio, power-fold third row seating, quad bucket seats, a power moonroof, power running boards, and a Trailer Tow Package.
