Overview
The Volkswagen Rabbit S 4D (Auto) last had a manufacturer update on 04/18/2008. For 2008 the Volkswagen Rabbit is available in four models--two or four-door "S" hatchback with either manual or automatic transmission. Replacing the Golf in 2007, the current model is carried over for the 2008 year with few changes (save for the "S" badging). All Rabbit models feature air conditioning, a sound system with 8-speakers and MP3 capability, tire pressure monitor, ABS brakes with Electronic Brake Force Distribution, and front side impact and head curtain airbags. A number of options are available to upgrade equipment including a Ground Effects Kit, alloy wheels, Sport Styling Kit, and rear spoiler. The Rabbit features the same 2.5L 170hp engine standard on the Jetta, with the sportier GTI featuring the 2.0L turbo. The Volkswagen Rabbit S 4D (Auto) was introduced in 2006; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
