Overview

The Subaru Forester XT Limited last had a manufacturer update on 05/24/2007. Subaru's small sport utility returns for 2008 available in several trims: X, Sports X, X LL Bean Edition, Sports XT, and XT Limited. The Forester base model is powered by a 173-hp 2.5L engine, while the XT boasts a 2.5L turbocharged engine producing 224 horsepower and 226 lb-ft of torque. Transmission choices include a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. Standard equipment across the board includes four-wheel ABS brakes, a stereo system with CD player, and the Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system. The higher trims add sport-designed seats, a front-lip spoiler, 17-inch alloy wheels, Sirius satellite radio capability, and a premium stereo system with a six-disc changer and subwoofer. Options include interior and exterior trim enhancements, a rear spoiler, and a storage bin. The Subaru Forester XT Limited saw minor changes in 2006, and is expected to be redesigned in 2009.
