Overview
The GMC Sierra 2500 HD Crew Cab SLE 4WD Short Bed last had a manufacturer update on 05/28/2008. After being redesigned last year, GMC's full-size truck enters 2008 with only minor changes. The GMC Sierra 2500 HD is available in several bodystyles, trims, and drivetrain configurations: Regular Cab, Extended Cab, or Crew Cab bodystyles, short or long bed lengths, three trims levels: Work Truck, SLE, and SLT, and 2WD or 4WD drivetrain configurations. The Sierra is built on GM's newer full-size truck. Choices of engines include a new 353 horsepower Gen IV Vortec 6.0L V8 and a Duramax 6.6L turbo-diesel V8 that generates 365 horsepower and 660 lb-ft of torque. All engine choices are mated to an electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission. The GMC Sierra 2500 HD Crew Cab SLE 4WD Short Bed was last redesigned in 2007; no information is currently available on upcoming changes.
